Thacker Pass Lithium Royalty

Thacker Pass is the USA’s largest and most advanced construction stage lithium project.  The project is situated at the southern end of McDermitt Caldera, approximately 100km northwest of Winnemucca, Nevada.

The project is fully permitted and has commenced construction with initial operations expected in 2027.  Once in production, 100% of the Phase 1 production of 40,000tpy of lithium carbonate will be sold to General Motors under a long-term offtake contract.  The lithium will be used by General Motors’s in its proprietary Ultium battery cells and is forecast to provide sufficient lithium to build more than 1 million electric vehicles per year.

Phase 2 production is expected to double the output of the mine to 80,000tpy.
